Mischler {Newborn Family Portraits San Diego}

I’m excited to share this family’s newborn session – it was one of those rare days where everything just seems to come together.  Meet Callan, the newest Mischler family member – here he was a mere 3 weeks old!  (And what a sweet pea he was to photograph.)  Little Willa is the other starring cast member here, looking just as cute as can be next to her new baby brother. I first took Willa’s picture at a Halloween event, and I was honored when Amy contacted me for a full family session at her father’s gorgeous home.  The setting, combined with the coordinated clothing, and rich shades of red created a natural look that I am just in love with!

Full House! {Family Grandparent Portraits San Diego}

Sisters and cousins, and grandparents, oh my (and at least two of each)! This extended family session was such a joy to photograph (thanks to the coordinating efforts of one proud grandfather!).  Even the sky was conspiring to make the day great and held back the rain storm that was threatening :) .

The two toddling cousins you see below were definitely the center of attention in the family.  When he wasn’t dancing to his grandmother’s singing, Ben (the older one) kept running back to energetically pedal his bike. Can you imagine he preferred it to having his photo taken?!   And Will, who just turned 1 year old (happy birthday!), wanted to be anywhere Ben was!   We just couldn’t get a synchronized smile – one would start crying and then the other cousin would look over and start crying – it was just so sympathetic and cute.  The last photos of them were so funny with the alternate crying and comforting – I couldn’t stop giggling while they were doing it, and the giggles came back while editing them after the session!

Sing Star Kyra {headshots San Diego}

I photographed this little miss a couple of years ago with her brother and I remember that they were a rambunctious pair, full of energy and laughter!  I designed one of my  most unique storyboards that captured that lovely laughter and energy (and I still use that storyboard as one of my main samples today!).  I was so excited to get to capture that energy once again with Kyra in the spotlight for some headshots.

Kyra is getting into acting and singing, and she has already been asked to sing with a jazz band in San Diego!  I can’t wait to hear her shine on that big stage!

She is still that lovely little girl full of energy, but she also showed a more mature side in her session.  She took direction like she was already a little pro :) .  Good luck, Kyra!  Please remember us when you are famous!
